This policy outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and standards for property owners, managers, and agencies listing accommodation on Disability Destinations. By submitting a listing, you agree to comply with the conditions below.
1. Purpose of This Policy
Disability Destinations exists to help travellers find wheelchair friendly and accessible holiday accommodation worldwide. To maintain accuracy and trust for users, all listing partners must provide honest, verified, and detailed information regarding accessibility features.
This policy applies to all:
- Individual property owners
- Agencies representing multiple accommodations
- Management companies acting on behalf of owners
2. Eligibility for Listing
To list accommodation, you must:
- Have legal authority to advertise, manage, or promote the property
- Ensure the listing information provided is accurate and true
- Agree to comply with relevant safety, rental, and advertising regulations in your jurisdiction
We may request verification or supporting documentation where required.
3. Accuracy of Accessibility Information
All accessibility claims must be factual, evidence based, and not exaggerated. Owners and agencies agree to:
- Clearly describe which wheelchair friendly features exist and which do not
- Avoid using terms such as accessible unless supported by detail
- Accurately represent doorway widths, bathroom layout, ramps, parking, and equipment
- Update listings immediately if accessibility features change or become unavailable
Misrepresentation may result in suspension or removal of listings.
4. Listing Content Requirements
Listings should include:
- Property description including layout and sleeping arrangements
- Accessibility details written in clear, practical language
- Photographs that truthfully represent the property condition
- Any limitations guests should be aware of (e.g. gravel paths, steps to entry)
You must not upload or share:
- False or misleading information
- Images that do not belong to you or that infringe copyright
- Content containing offensive language or discriminatory remarks
We reserve the right to edit or remove content to protect users.
5. Pricing, Availability & Booking Rules
Owners and agencies are responsible for:
- Providing accurate pricing, minimum stays, deposits and refund policies
- Ensuring availability calendars are current if used
- Communicating booking terms directly to guests through your chosen method
Disability Destinations is a listing and discovery platform and does not mediate payments unless otherwise stated.
6. Responsibility to Guests
By listing accommodation, you agree to:
- Respond to enquiries within a reasonable timeframe
- Inform guests of any changes affecting accessibility
- Ensure the property meets health, safety, and legal standards
- Take responsibility for bookings, disputes, damages or contractual matters
Disability Destinations is not responsible for guest-owner disputes.
7. Reviews & Ratings
Guests may leave reviews based on their stay. We will not remove reviews unless they:
- Contain hate speech, harassment, or abuse
- Include defamatory, illegal, or sensitive personal details
- Are proven to be fraudulent or unrelated to the listing
Owners may request factual corrections but may not demand removal of genuine opinions.
8. Listing Fees, Subscriptions & Cancellation
If a listing package includes costs, you agree to pay subscription or advertising fees according to our pricing model. Non-payment may result in:
- Temporary suspension
- Removal of listings
- Loss of promotional placement on the platform
Owners may request removal of their property at any time. Refunds are not guaranteed unless stated in the package terms.
9. Policy Violations
We reserve the right to suspend, revise, or permanently remove any listing that:
- Contains misleading accessibility information
- Receives repeated and verified accessibility complaints
- Shows evidence of fraudulent activity or unsafe practice
Such action may occur without refund where policy breach is confirmed.
