Bench Cottage is a modern, wheelchair-accessible bungalow located just outside Lymington, a picturesque town only 2 miles from the New Forest National Park. With thoughtful design and fully inclusive amenities, this semi-detached, single-storey property provides an inviting and accessible retreat for up to four guests.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the cottage is entirely on the ground floor and offers level access throughout. Off-road parking is conveniently located right outside, featuring an EV charger and a smooth tarmac path leading directly to the entrance. Inside, guests will find a warm and comfortable space with central heating and complimentary WiFi, making it an ideal base for exploring the New Forest, Hampshire, and Dorset.

Bench Cottage is fully equipped with accessible facilities, including two ceiling hoists: one in the spacious master bedroom and another in the wet room, which also features a drop-down changing stretcher. The master bedroom includes a height-adjustable profiling bed alongside a second profiling bed, with generous turning space for wheelchair users. The wet room is fitted with an adjustable-height washbasin, a standard-height WC with drop-down grab rails, and a convenient toilet seat riser option, ensuring ease of use for all guests.

The second bedroom, while not fully wheelchair accessible, is equipped with two electric riser single beds and provides comfortable accommodation for carers, children, or other family members.

In the open-plan living area, guests can enjoy ample seating, including a riser recliner chair, a firm armchair, a cosy two-seater sofa, and a foldaway dining table for four. For entertainment, the lounge features a colour TV with Chromecast and Netflix, while the master bedroom includes an additional TV.

The kitchen, designed for wheelchair access, includes a range of amenities, such as a wall-mounted oven, washing machine, microwave, and coffee machine. With lowered counters and a wheel-under hob and sink, the kitchen provides easy access to all essential facilities. The cottage also offers mobility aids like a Sara Stedy and a standing hoist, as well as various shower chair options to accommodate diverse needs. Fresh linen and towels are provided, and hosts offer the convenience of pre-arrival shopping delivery for a seamless experience.
